Tom is recording guest sessions at the XTAS hub (3 Square Mérimée) throughout the week. Use the XTAS wide shot — the balcony and the natural light off the Palais are the best b-roll setup we'll have all week.

Make your own posts

Selfie posts, selfie videos, all over Cannes

You don't need Olly for this. Capture yourself + the moment, share vibe + learnings, not just the view. If you're with someone, have them film you instead of doing a selfie — it always reads better. Don't over-edit, don't over-think, just post.

Do

  • Selfie video at the venue you just left — what did you learn, what surprised you, who did you meet?
  • If you're with a teammate, hand them your phone — get filmed properly
  • One thought per post — keep it tight
  • Post within the hour while the energy is real
  • Use the moment + the place — show where you are
  • Tag the brands / speakers / events when relevant

Don't

  • Don't over-edit — raw beats polished
  • Don't write a paragraph — the video is the post
  • Don't just show the view (yacht, Croisette, Palais) without you in it
  • Don't queue posts for later — post in the moment
  • Don't all post the same thing — give your own angle
  • Don't film people without asking

Shot schedule

Realistic timings. Conflicts flagged only when a non-Olly person has a Must/Optional at a different venue (event-coverage and same-venue b-roll shots never flag — they're the whole point of the camera being there).

Villa shots → Sat, Sun, Thu, Fri only. Mon–Wed evenings the team is out doing things — at side events, dinners, parties, meetings. Don't plan villa-bound interviews on those nights. Catch Mon–Wed people in the field instead — corridors, foyers, between meetings, in the car. Villa interviews live on arrival day (Sat), pre-yacht (Sun morning), Thu wind-down, and Fri morning closing.
